The nexus/kern/Makefile 'real-clean' target removes $(SRC), which includes
lots of files that are not rpcgen output.  It also removes the Makefile
itself to make it harder to find out what happened...

It appears that the regular 'clean' target removes the rpcgen output in most
directories.

I don't have access to historical CVS history; is it like that in the Sandia
tree as well?
