#2 Better recognition of metadata tags

The IDD metadata tags can provide a rich development environment by giving great detail to objects and fields. These are read in by the input readers, but values are not constrained to metadata limits, and units are not accounted for. In general, the metadata does not play a real role in the readers. This should be addressed in the long term development of this library.
