I just got done uploading 0.3.0beta, its only an update for windows, the linux version shouldn't be far behind. Try out the new drag and drop interface. I'll also be implementing a file selection scheme. The windows version now has a self installer/uninstaller. So it'll be easier to setup ;-)

Well, I'm back from my vacation, which turned out terrible and I got the flu. In better news, I got a lot of work done on the new windows version of encryption roller, its almost complete...

I have also rewritten the encryption algorithm, it will now handle any file size with much less memory usage. The file format is still the same, so it can decrypt yer old files. I personally tested it on a 500MB file on my laptop (which isn't very powerful), it averaged between 5 and 10 MB per second.... read more

Version 0.2.1 is going to have an improved windows version as well as a feature to restore original file names. This should help illiminate the need for the .crpt extension on the end of any existing extensions.

Now that I have the basic functionality that I intended to have for my own encryption scheme, I'm going to begin working on adding other schemes to the program. If anybody has any features they would like to see in the upcoming versions, please let me know.

The next version 0.1.8 will contain an addition mechanism to verify that files are decrypted proplerly, aside from the already existing authentication string. The new mechanism will also help to verify the entegrity of the data after a transfer (internet, disk, etc)
