Thanks for your answers........maybe it's a coincidence but in this
moment i am encoding(mpeg mode) animes...i found a lot of time ago in
internet a web site that talk about making vcds and give recomendations
to encode anime(manga) but i loss the address ...i will google again to
find that page.i encode the animes similar to othe films...
I think that the selection of a matrix have a big importance in the
quality of the final video. encode with *:4:* should be diferent if i
use encode *:4:* and -qmatrix hi-res   
Normally i use direct mode but now I am using (mpeg mode) because in
direct mode the performance of  my  PC it's very bad ....with mencoder i
can do a lot of things while i am encoding whitout problem :-)
