Thanks for EncFSMP - a very useful and functional version of EncFS for Windows.

I recently installed version 0.9.6 on a Windows 7 - 64bit system. I notice that I now have 7 files (pfm, pft, and ptramfs) inside the root Windows folder.

Just wondering why the installation process put the files there, and are there any future plans to either place them inside a sub-folder, or in C:\Program Files?

    Thanks.

I apologize for the late answer, I wasn't aware that new messages were posted to the forum.
EncFSMP is based on the (commercial, but free for EncFSMP) PismoFileMount (PFM). It is a component which might also be used in other products, therefore it installs into the Windows directory.
Since PFM is developed by PismoTech and closed-source, it will remain like this.
