No output messages produced at all

I use the enblend that comes with Hugin. When I start enblend in a Windows (XP Pro, SP1(?)) command line, I get absolutely no output. It works fine on my company´s laptop (Win XP Pro SP2).

I found no error messages in the Windows event log.

    What could be the problem?

I ask the same question, but I see in some way the contrary. The one with SP2 doesn't work ...

      CPU: AMD Athlon(TM) XP 1900+ at 1.60GHz
      ASUSTeK Computer INC. <A7M266>
Microsoft Windows XP/2002 Home 5.01.2600 (Service Pack 2)

There is no output image, enblend /? in a DOS-Prompt produces no reaction at all.

The other computer is doing well, without any problems:

      CPU  Intel Celeron 4A, 2600 MHz (26 x 100) "Northwood-128" at 2600 MHz
Microsoft Windows XP Prof 5.1.2600 (Service Pack 1)

SSE is available on both (according to SANDRA, Everest)

      enblend /? in a DOS-Prompt produces a help screen

I installed hugin, autopano and enblend 3.0. Without changing anything, 'enblend-3.0\enblend.exe' is called to calculate the Gaussian pyramids etc. - so I dont think there is an "intrinsic Enblend" in hugin {?}.
The result is nearly perfect - and it's freeware. But it would be nice if it worked always.
