#152 EMU 1818M Optical Out Type

I have an EMU 1818M card connected with Musical Fidelity V-DAC through optical cable.
V-DAC uses SPDIF but my sound card send ADAT so i have no sound.
Only way i know to solve this problem is to change file /usr/src/linux/include/sound/emu10k1.h every time i recompile my kernel.
Please make this string looks like

define EMU_HANA_OPTICAL_TYPE 0x0a / 00000xx 2 bits ADAT or SPDIF in/out /

or show me some way to change this parameter easier.
