#150 Unable to install sound driver for Creative Sound Blaster

Hi:

I am brand new to Linux. I have the Xandros
installed and everything works fine except the sound,
printer and Power DVD. Since the printer doesn't
belong in this part of the forum, I will have to ask
for help in another section. I tried to install my
Creative Sound Blaster but had an error. I also tried
installing my Power DVD but also an error. Now I do
undersstand there are open source programs where you
can get into the Kernel and add a patch. Being that I
am new and do not know how to do this, I am afraid that
I might goof up and cause more problems. I don't want
to do that because I am trying to get the feel of Linux
in the first place. Aren't there any other ways to
download a patch? Thank you very much for your kind
