#11 static compilation

Emu10k1 feature requests:

I am developing a sound application on an MIPS Atlas
embedded development board using a SB Live! sound
card. The embedded Linux distribution
(MIPS_RedHat7.1_Release-01.00) boots via tftp from an
i386 Linux host. The kernel (2.4.3) is cross-compiled
statically on the host. Therefore, I am unable to use
modular drivers such as emu10k1-v0.19a. It would be
nice if I could compile the driver statically.
