#51 Audigy 2 support  Edit

emu-tools (6)

I can get PCM sound from that optical out from audigy2 drive, but any line ins doesn't work. And emu-tool doesn't work at all;

(#:~)- emu-config
SOUND_MIXER_PRIVATE3: Invalid argument

(#:~)- emu-dspmgr
SOUND_MIXER_PRIVATE3: You're probably using an older incompatible driver: Invalid argument

and so on.. Module loads ok. Maybe we need diffrent driver?

I think you need to use audigy-script instead of emu-script.
but I dont think that will fix line-in/analog-out.

These are the problems I have found which are related to
differences between Audigy and Audigy 2.

    (I own a Audigy 2, 5.1 analog speakers, with Mandrake 9.0
with its default version of snd-emu10k1)

The Audigy card has one jack (labelled Digital Out) that it
uses both for digital and analog output, plus two other
analog output jacks. The "digital out" is the default output
    line used by the driver.

Audigy 2, on the other hand has 3 analog outputs and one
digital out (which seems to be digital only).

When plugging my analog speakers, I have to use different
output jacks for the different models (I tried this at a
    friend's who owns one Audigy).

It seems that the snd-emu10k1 driver sends analog output
through the "digital out" connector, but this being
digital-only in Audigy 2 the sound comes out heavily
distorted... There is no signal coming out from any of the
analog connectors. The driver should be changed so that
analog audio is sent to the analog outputs.

Please let me know whether I may be of assistance in testing
    the driver.

I have been trying to get my audigy 2 working and have found exactly the
same problem. I have tried the audigy script and there is no difference.
