At emu.sf.net test versions of the upcoming Emu 2.2 are available. Those releases are not at all experimental builds. Thus do not be afraid to use it. The Emu developers would appreciate, if you test this upcoming release and report any bug or feature request. The test release is frequently updated after reported bugs are fixed.

Emu R 3.2 for use with Emu 2.0 has been released

The CRAN emur-R Package version is updated to 3.1 and not compatible to EMU Versions < real 2.0.
Until the release of EMU2.0 use emu_R3.0 that is provided in the download section now.
The new EMU_R add-on package emu_3.0 is available under(contributed) packages at http://cran.r-project.org.
Thus it is directly installable from the R GUI file menu "Packages" - "Install Packages" or from the R command line by install.packages("emu").

A query like "give me all Phonemes except /b d g/" resulted in "Phoneme !=
b| d |g" that does not work. With this patch the query string for this
query will be "Phoneme != b & Phoneme != d & Phoneme !=g" .
Wrong formant data were written to file after redrawing. The patch fixes the problem.

There is a new emu-mac release online. This release provides the binaries gettrack, emuquery and emurequery. Thus Mac users can access emu databases via the Emu/R interface - see emu-splus package.
R package 2.2 is an update that was made especially for inviting Mac users to work with Emu databases. Therefore a new emu-mac is released also.
The zip file were damaged anyway for ausisol06 and kielread06 - Sorry. Now these zip files will work.
The R package includes a lot of functions that deal with epg data.
There are two new example databases available.

* Segment / event list handling in tkassp improved: Source track can now be chosen
Emu 1.10 also fixes some minor bugs.
I've released an update to the Emu R libraries since the last version (1.7) had a problem which meant it would not install on Windows.
This version should fix that, please let me know if it doesn't. I've also included a tar.gz file for use on OSX which should be installed as a 'source' package from the R packages menu, and on Unix where you can install it with 'R CMD INSTALL'

We're now working on the elements that will go together to make version 2.0. This will make use of many components shared with other systems, such as the Annotation graph toolkit and the Edinburgh Speech tools. Any and all are welcome to take part in this effort.
The Emu CVS repository has now been moved to SourceForge. You can browse it via the links on the project page and download the latest version via CVS if you wish.
