Hi,

as already discussed in the PR gtk3 is already very usable, and few bugs 
remain.

If there are no objections or further bugs I will merge this at the end 
of July.

This will default master to python3, and drop support for various legacy 
distributions and python2, so update your machines to Debian 10.

if you use axis, you should not notice a change at all. most glade 
panels work with no or little modifications.

if you need glade, install the version from the linuxcnc repo, or update 
straight to debian 11(ubuntu/mint 20 or later also works). the glade 
version shipped with Debain 10 will not work.

if you have custom python handlers you might need to run 2to3 -w on them.

qtvcp worked the last time I checked, maybe somebody can confirm this.

qtpyvcp is working hard on python3 support, and should be ready soon.
