Almost any ucontroller will do but default baud rate is 2.5 MBaud so the 
ucontroller needs to support this for simplicity (you can change the per 
channel baud rate  but its better if this complexity is handeled by the 
firmware automatically (we will probably add support 
for additional auto selected baud rates later)

For example I think the Arduino supports 1 M baud so could be used if we add 
auto baud support
