This is a prototype, not released or mentioned on our website. This
technology is why we halted JSimm.1Wire since we didn't like the
performance of the DS2480B. We'll use the 1WDR technology on a new
JSimm.1Wire eventually. The first 1WDR is a 100x50 mm board (fits our
SnapTrack) with a serial interface so it works with PC, MAC, Linux etc.
I'm using it on the PC with Windoze and a serial port, with rxtx drivers.
Just started testing.
BTW I just tried it with a Belkin USB serial adapter but apparently the
latency gives the Java API fits. Does anyone know how to relax the timeout
for the rxtx-and-Dallas-1Wire1.00-Java-API to accomodate a USB adapter? I
thought there was a post about USB-serial adapters (and one that worked
better than others) on the Dallas discuss list but a search didn't find it.
We can't think of a better name than 1Wire Done Right but we're open to ideas.
Regards
Bruce
