But it appears that the whole Home Automation industry runs on X10 and so if we want to move Embedded Java into this area it seems that we must interoperate with X10. All we need is a strategy for introducing Embedded Java into the Home Automation space and I personally think that remote and secure access to the home using any Java enabled cell phone is the easiest way to do this. Web Services based Enterprise Outpost can not do this but a JXTA based JackNet Home Outpost can and that is one reason that I am devoting a part of my time to JackNet.
