James, Sounds like we should put our heads together on this. The persistence model serializes/deserializes objects to XML and provides remote property setting. It does a crude form of remote invocation using a command tag inside of the Request packet. The container parse the Request and sends back either a Response object or the serialized component if the Request identity targets a component. A standard web services interface would greatly boost acceptance and sercurity and could, I believe, support the existing persistence by wrapping the serialized packets in a web services envelope.
