My understanding of JXTA is that one can move code/services around too. The code is called 'Modules' in JXTA and a peer can join a PeerGroup, find out that it does not have the needed Module implementation in order to participate in the group, it can obtain the needed Module, install it and then it can provide the needed service. The Modules are tightly versioned to accommodate changes too. > Well, I would return your question with a some counter questions. What do you > want to enable the most with JAPL and Embedlets? My primary driving goal is to find a large market for Embedded Java. At this point, whatever strategy for accomplishing this goal proves to me most effective is where I would like to spend most of my efforts. But anyway, I am fairly sure that the Global Light Blinker project is feasible even using the imperfect technologies that we currently possess. Are you interested in approaching the JINI community and seeing if they would like to participate in it? Ted __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
