Since the beginning of internet lists (which started as notes and then
usenet), reply has always gone to the poster, and reply-all to the poster and
the list. In the past years, people have started complaining about this on
various lists saying that they don't like that.
When I reply-all to this list, I get the -developer-admin and the -developer
addresses, and not the poster. The Sender: field overrides the consideration
of From: A reply just goes to the list. I am not sure what you are
experiencing Brill, nor what mail client you are using. I am using MH which
has always followed the standards... Maybe the playing field is changing...
