Using the effective mass approximation, and taking into account the complex valence band structure of II-VI semiconductors, this program simulates the exciton ground state in spherical nanocrystal quantum dots. The QD can be formed by the user adding a sequence of semiconductor materials.
Associated with the book chapter:
Quantum Dots / Book 1 (ISBN 979-953-307-308-7, Intech) Chapter title: "Exciton states in free-standing and embedded semiconductor nanocrystals" Authors: Y. Nunez-Fernandez, M. Vasilevskiy, E. Larramendi and C. Trallero-Giner.
