That is the current design of emailscan, to only check local users. I'm currently working on a new version of email scan that a server can use (and not _just_) a local users. That version should be available after the first of the year. Mat Kovach |

Hi, I have installed emailscan and integrated with virus scanner 'uvscan'. But the problem is that when I send a mail with a viru to a local user and make a cc to remote user or just send it to remote user alone, the mail is not checked for viruses FOR REMOTE USER. The local user never gets the mail cos' it is blocked but the remote receiver get it with virus. How can that be stopped? Thanks and waiting fot the answer. -Shantanu __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Check out Yahoo! Shopping and Yahoo! Auctions for all of your unique holiday gifts! Hello all,I am trying sendmail and procmail combination. I am a newbie to sendmail and procmail. What i want to do is pass the mails from procmail to an external virus scanner. In sendmail.cf file I have : Mlocal, P=/usr/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSPfhn9, S=10/30, R=20/40, T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix, A=procmail -Y -a $h -d $u In my /etc/procmailrc I have : PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/bin MAILDIR=$HOME/Mail #you'd better make sure it exists LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/procmail.log #recommended SENDMAIL=/usr/bin/sendmail FORMAIL=/usr/bin/formail :0 | /usr/bin/emailscan Then I will be asking emailscan to invoke Mcaffee Antivirus. Is there something wrong with the setup? I am able to send mails without been scanned to my local SMTP server. I am using offline mailer, where it quesues messages it receives and then when I connect to net I give command sendmail -q -v Thanks a lot and eagerly waiting for the reply. Bye. -Payal __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Check out Yahoo! Shopping and Yahoo! Auctions for all of your unique holiday gifts!
