nothing seems to work (e.g. (set-mouse-color "red")). Just to clarify, mouse-pointer color not cursor-color. My specific situation: black background with a black "I beam" pointer when hovering over text (not ideal)

Same here, both in GUI and in terminal. I think this feature is broken forever. Does set-mouse-color work for other windows build or older version of emacs-w64?

Thank you for confirming you also see the same behavior.

Since I'm a new user, I'll need to defer to others regarding whether different windows builds or older versions of emacs-w64 exhibit different behavior.
