[Emacs-vr-mode-devel] software development kits

I'm thinking of trying to connect xvoice to the NaturallySpeaking back
end using WINE.  I had the idea that I would use the latest version of
NaturallySpeaking, so I asked ScanSoft about their software
development kit, but they want $2000 for it.  That seems like a lot,
especially since I have no idea whether it will work.

What does VR mode use?  It looks like it is still the software
development kit from Dragon, who I guess made it freely available long
ago.  Is that right?  Does it still work with ScanSoft versions of
NaturallySpeaking?
