I just tried it - connecting to an ejabberd server with MAM enabled, and
looking at the backlog/history of messages in the Conversations Android
app (which also supports MAM). Worked fine!

Only problem is OTR, but that isn't something I was expecting MAM to
handle :-)

Thanks for contributing this enhancement to jabber.el, I hope it can be
merged.
