I have a 353 camera that I need to opgrade, unfortunately LiveDVD (1.5) does not work to me because i upgrade my pc and It does not detect the new ethernet hardware. However, I wonder if I can build a new Elphel DVD from Knoppix 6.2.iso and the package LivedVD2.0 because I cant find the knoppix 5.2 version that you recommend us to build the DVD.
It would be great if you update the firmware upgrade section at the wiki :)
the last one topic its made by me,, I'm sorry I forget to log in
Alternatively you can check out this wiki page: http://wiki.elphel.com/index.php?title=Elphel_Software_Kit_for_Ubuntu
Basically all you need for a camera reflash is a working NFS server and the image files from sourceforge.
More information about the reflashing procedure: http://wiki.elphel.com/index.php?title=353_firmware_upgrade_procedure
I have checked those links before without success. when I type :
./netboot -d eth0 -ip 192.168.0.9 -nfs 192.168.0.15:/nfs -cmd update
something is wrong with the script:
./netboot: líne 40: cmdline: no se encontró la orden
cat: kimage: Archivo no existe
./netboot: líne 44: etraxfsboot: no se encontró la orden
Maybe something is wrong with cmdline because its sise is 0 bytes, I dont know
Unfortunately I couldnt update the camera firmware using the ./netboot command. so I try to make a updated liveDVD without success too :(. when I am executing the livecd-make, its output is :
./livecd-make: 1: Syntax error: Bad fd number
note: I am running ubuntu 9.10
