To view video stream, besides using mplayer with rtsp protocol, is there a http link directly getting the MJPEG which is continuously pushed by the camera?
As far as I know the last major browser that natively supported "server push" technology was Netscape 4. We did try it with the camera in 2003 but dropped support with the newer versions of the software because it is obsolete standard with lower performance and requires special plugins for the browsers.
MJPEG video stream from Elphel 313 cameras follows RFC-2435 (see ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc2435.txt) and you can get links to the videostream from the camera control page but we do not have any plans to support Netscape 4 server push technology.
