Consider this type of document structure, as viewed from the table of contents page:
1. Chapter 1
2. Chapter 2
2.1. Sub1-Chapter 2
2.2. Sub2-Chapter 2
3. Chapter 3
3.1. Sub1-Chapter 3
3.1.1. Sub2-Chapter 3
3.1.1.1 Sub2b-Chapter 3
3.1.1.2 Sub2c-Chapter 3
3.1.2. Sub3-Chapter 3
Viewing the table of contents only displays 3 levels (so x.x.x.x or beyond is not displayed in the table of contents)
To view deeper depths, you have to go to that particular section. However, there is no way to change the sorting order of those deep depths on the section's page. Since deep levels are not being displayed on the table of contents, that is the first limitation. The other limitation isd that you can't sort on the pages of sections/subsections themselves.
