Hello dear support team. I am currently working with load shapes in OpenDss. I have created two load files, one where there is no load shape (daily) definition and one where there is. When I run in snapshot mode the case without load shape definition, I get one answer and when I run the case with load shape definition I get a very different answer. My question is. Why I see different results, although I am runing both cases in snapshot mode ? My understanding is that snapshot should disregard the load shapes.

Thank you for your kind reply,
    Octavio Ramos

      Hello,

If you are moving between snapshot and daily, there is an additional step that you can implmenent to avoid the situation mentioned above. When using daily/yearly and other QSTS simulation modes the global LoadShapeClass changes to match the simulation mode, however, it remains like that until modified again.
That being said, when using snapshot mode use the command:

      set LoadShapeClass=None

Do this before the "Solve" command. This will remove the global reference to the daily loadshape class for snapshot simulations.
Give it a try and let us know how it works.

      Best regards

      Davis

    Hello Davis,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply. I have not being able to reproduce the reported behaviour, snapshot works as expected in both cases now. But I will keep your recommendation in mind.

    Best regards,
    Octavio Ramos
