First, thanks for this great piece of software. I find it much more usable than the new AWS web-based console, so I hope that you will continue developing it.
I just upgraded to version 1.6 build 93 and noticed that the instances and images tables have been split into two tabs. While I recognize that this was probably done for the added screen space, one of the very useful features in Elastifox for me was the fact that when you selected an instance, its image was "shadow" selected, and vice-versa. This made it very easy to correlate what instance was, without having to memorize the AMI ID.
If you don't care to unify the panels back (please do), you could add an image manifest (location) column to the instance table. Its much easier to think of images using the manifest name rather than the AMI ID. On the image tab, its not clear how to do the equivalent, as it would be a list of instance IDs.
Thanks,
Alexander
For now, you can determine the manifest location by clicking on an instance's details. This field will be populated if you have clicked on the "Images" tab at least once during your elasticfox session.
Thanks for using EFox, and I'll consider doing something to the UX so that users know what AMI they are dealing with.
