Hi, If I remember well, the MX4J connector has been designed to be compliant with JSR160. Otherwise, it should be trivial to develop the connector to be used within the JMX browser (the source code contains 3 or 4 different connector). Hi, Are you talking about the Web version of the JMX Browser ? If so, then authentication can be done through the standard way with=20 J2EE Web Applications, which means JAAS API. You have to configure the=20= container with the proper configuration and edit the web.xml file in=20 the JMX Browser war. Other authentication support would be possible=20 through a modification of source code. Laurent. Thanks it works. I have related question: Does the Management Browser and/or J2ee 3.2.3 support the full jsr77? and Can I deploy servlets to Jboss thru the management browser? Hi, The MEJB is not deployed in the "default" configuration, but it is in the "all" one. All you have to do is to pick the "ejb-management.jar" file located in the "$JBOSS_HOME/docs/examples/jmx" folder and deploy it. Let me know if it solves the problem. Laurent. Hi, Sorry, but the JMX browser can't do that as it doesn't have any notion = of clustering among different connections. I think it is up to the Tomcat cluster to provide such a service, which = means that each Tomcat instance must provided a unified JMX server view, = and dispatch any modifications made on one instance to the others. I remember that MX4J provides something similar with a proxied = MBeanConntection that gathered many MBeanConnection (you have to check = it, cause I am not sure). Hope it helps. Objet : RE: [Ejtools-users] Is it possible to use EJTools JMX browser for Tomcat 5.0.x? Thanks. I have another question. If I get that to work, Can I use JMX browser to manage a group of Tomcat in a cluster? e.g. say if I want to change a parameter in a MBEAN, can I apply the SAME change to all TOMCATs in the clustser? Or I have to make that change one by one in each Tomcat? Thank you again. --- ETIEMBLE Laurent OF/DTRS/EXT <lau...@or...> wrote: > Hi, >=20 > Tomcat 5.0 is using MX4J as its JMX core. --- ETIEMBLE Laurent OF/DTRS/EXT <lau...@or...> wrote: > Hi, > > Tomcat 5.0 is using MX4J as its JMX core. Hi, Tomcat 5.0 is using MX4J as its JMX core. However, there is no connector = configured for deployment. Maybe you could cross-post on the MX4J and Tomcat user-lists to know how = to deploy a connector to allow a remote access (either JRMP or IIOP). = Once that is done, you could connect the Tomcat instance with the Swing = console. Hi, I would like to know how to use the EJTools JMX browser (Swing console) for Tomcat 5.0.x? There isn't a connection profile for Tomcat 5.0.x?
