If you need dynamic SAN fields currently your only option is creating a
custom extension decoder.  The docs show how to do that.

If you want, PrimeKey could probably introduce a dynamic facility.
Then you need to write to sa...@pr....

We are using EJBCA 4.0.13, how I can confirm this feature, or exists
another alternative to accomplish this?.

Here apply a local regulation about this field in certificates issued, so
is mandatory.

Can you open the file with any other ZIP tool?
If not, there was a build problem which should be tracable in logfiles.

Please tell me how to solve this issue.

Since the othername form doen't have any specified syntax, EJBCA doesn't support
this out-of-the-box.  However, it is possible to add such extensions through the
custom extension scheme.  Here is an example:

However, there is a "snag" that you should be aware of...

The current EJBCA version does AFAIK not allow mixing of regular SAN (Subject Alt Name)
extensions and custom SAN extensions.

I would personally recommend NOT using otherName extensions.

Hi Guys,

I need to enable the Subject Alternative Name extension using the otherName type. I have type_id and value embedded in an PEM encoded object. 

Edit Certificate Profile interface allows to define Subject Alternative Name extension using the otherName type, however, Edit End Entity Profile interface although allows defining Subject Alternative Name, it doesn't allow to specify the otherName type. 

How can I enable SAN extension with otherName type in End Entity Profile and assign the PEM encoded value to it?

How did you create it?

- Import CA certificate
- Create CA, "Signed by External"?

If the CAs private key is not in EJBCA, there is no way EJBCA can sign 
OCSP responses, since they are signed by the CA when using the Internal 
OCSP Responder.

If you have CAs managed outside of EJBCA you should set up an OCSP 
Responder to answer all your OCSP queries for all your CAs, EJBCA CAs 
and other CAs.

If you are trying to get OCSP responses from an external CA
the the external CA must also issue an OCSP certificate.

[Ejbca-develop] External OCSP server responder problem

When we are trying to get response status for CA which is issued by EJBCA
,it's working fine from the OCSP Client(Using openSSL command), But trying
with External CA which is already imported into ejbca database ,it's
throwing NULL Pointer exception in server side log where as  client side
getting the below error

"ERROR QUERYING OCSP RESPONDER" 
and EJBCA AdminGUI the CA shows "CA not active"

[Ejbca-develop] External RA Gui problem

Dear Sir,

I have an inquiry regarding the External RA GUI.

I have setup an external RA server with the GUI (as explained in
www.ejbca.org/externalra.html)
But I didn't enable it to use Signatures or Encryption for RA messages. And
the GUI doesn't use HTTPS, just normal HTTP.

And also setup the the RA Service worker at the CA Side. But I encountered
the following issue:

When I open the RA Gui page and select "Create Browser Certificate" and
then input a username and password, it waits for the RA wait time (30
seconds) and then responds saying (CA did not respond) and the logs in the
RA Server say the following:

Ant updates is unfortunately lagging on many Linux dists.

Some quick observations:
1) sles11sp2 does not come along with a recent enough version of ant, so
you have to grep one from the apache site. (strangely as SLES11sp1 does
have a proper version). I'll try to trigger some people there...

2) during ant deploy you get some remarkable warnings:
[copy] Warning: Could not find
file /home/hudson/clover/clover-ant-3.0.2/lib/clover.jar
make you wonder: who is "Mr Clover"? and why the reference to its
homedir..

and three missing jar's:
Could not find file /usr/local/ejbca_4_0_13/conf/
- log4j-jboss.xml.sample
- log4j-jboss.xml 
- log4j-jboss6.xml

Might be harmless...

3) normally, on the admin page, you see a release number.
