I don't even know where to begin. I've spent a month thinking about this...

To start with you should mention what environment (java, application server, os, etc) you are trying to use?

In general, the best place to begin is to follow the "quick start guide" in the installation instructions at
Or, download and try the Virtual Machine.

Server runs Gentoo Linux, Oracle JDK 7u51, WildFly app server. When following the installation guide at, I get different errors like "ejbca_ce_6_1_1/docs.xmli:121: Could not create type anakia due to java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.jdom.input.SAXBuilder.setFactory(Lorg/jdom/input/JDOMFactory;)V".

I was using the guide at and following it verbatim, except that as a systemd user I've been starting WildFly manually until I get this up and running and write a unit file.
