This new release, thanks entirely to the work of csmall, has the following fixes and features:
-Added Unix domain support for client connections, enabled by default (makes using a local ehntserv easier)
-Fixed RIPE URL and pattern, closes SF# 641505
-Made it work with -Wall cc flags
-Change set_term to set_terminal to stop clash with curses function
Yes, it is amazing and incredible, but here is a new release of ehnt. New in this release is tcp/udp port and IP protocol reports. There is some misc stuff as well, such as -l for specifying screen length.
-nikw
Nothing much going on, but the latest release
actually has a new feature for once. You can
now filter by IP prefix.
There are still two major areas of development that haven't progressed at all:
1. Summarization of top subnets, protocols, ports, etc. in addition to ASes.
2. User interface improvements.
Some day...
A tarball is available on the home page, as is the changelog. Most notable is support for APNIC and RIPE ASes. Everything else is bug fixes.
The first release of ehnt is now available for download. See the project page or http://ehnt.sourceforge.net.
Here is what's been done so far:
-current source has been imported into CVS
-an extremely basic/crappy home page has been put up at ehnt.sourceforge.net
