The purpose of this post is to provide additional details of the computer-assisted calculations carried out for "A Doubling integral for G2." Some of the calculations were carried out using the program LiE, by Arjeh M. Cohen, Marc van Leeuwen, Bert Lisser. Information about this program is available here, and includes open source, documented source-code and a detailed manual. The manual explains how the user of LiE can define his or her own functions, and can put these function definitions into an initialization file (initfile) which will be read by LiE upon startup.
