Category: None Group: 1.2 final, no more RC1-8 please !!! Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Dirk Busche (dirk_busche) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: htmlarea deletes parentheses Initial Comment: The integratad HTML-Editor (htmlarea) deletes these parantheses: < > under some circumstances. This Bug is really annoying, since it makes it impossible to write Dokumentation about XML-like configuration files in 'knowledgebase'. Example: I want to document a configuration file, which contains XML. Lets say I want to insert the following text: <config> <param>theParamName</param> <value>theValue</param> </config> If I want to insert this in HTML all '<' and '>' have to be coded to '<' and '>', as we all know. Now, do the following: 1) create a new article in KnowledgeBase: 2) Copy the XML-snipplet above into the web editor 3) save the article 4) check the article in your Browser ==> It's OK! .. but now: 5) reopen the article for editing! ==> article damaged: If you click the HTML-View you get: <br /> <br /> theParamName<br /> theValue<br /> <br /> <br /> As you can see all words in <> have been deleted during loading! some more hints: If you seperate the opening < from the word with a blank, it works all fine: <sometext> will be deleted <sometext > will be deleted but: < sometext> will work fine < sometext > will work fine I was not able to find a workaround. Even if I type the < and > Tags in HTML-Mode they disappear during the next loading. (There was a similar problem in the 1.0.-series, which I reported with ticket# 1215672.) Environment: SUSE LINUX 10.0 (i586) eGroupware 1.2.102 Apache 2.0.54-10.3 PostgreSQL 8.0.8-0.2 php4 4.4.0-6.13 Browser: Firefox 1.0.8, Konquerer 3.4.2 best greetings, Dirk ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=554338&aid=1507132&group_id=78745 |
