[Effectv-developers] Simple blur effectv

Ok, since the project is not dead, i wish to implement a simple blur
effectv that i could control either with fake keypress or with a hook to
a python script.

Any ideas how to achieve that? i had a look on the code for most of the
effects, but i really dunno where to begin...

Any help or advices would be appreciated
