    Hi there!

Thanks to the developers of this app. Great job!
I'm using it with Huawei ets cdma phone, which usses the qualcomm chipset. It requires hard flow control. But  I noticed that efax was using software flow control, causing garbaged lines on the receiving machine (the log reports it as failed). efax still uses +FLO=1 after specifing -o h. I was unable to test fax transmission with this setting yet here's the waiting command log:

Is there something wrong with efax?

Further more busy & dial tone detection should be disabled for this modem, though it dials fine already. Should  I have to disalbe them, if so how can I do this?
Please help me. If I get this working I'll save my run to the library for my fax needs.
    Thanks in advance.

For hardware flow control, you should use -oh rather than -o h.  If that doesn't work then there is an efax bug which I am not in a position to look at for a few weeks

To ignore dial tone detection, you are probably going to have to hack the efax source code.

On reflection, it is your modem and not efax which determines whether a dial tone is required, so you will need to look at your modem settings for that.  If your modem supports special characters as part of the number to be dialed to suppress the requirement for a dial tone, then you can include the relevant character(s) in the number specified in the "Tel number" box.

Note also that you can send a fax to an already open connection by not specifying a number in the "Tel number" box.  In that case, efax will not attempt to dial a number using an ATD command.

I tried to send fax using -o h and it was the same as the time I tried without forcing. One more problem I didn't mention above is that after the fax page is sent the modem stops responding unless I switch it on again. I was able to check my modem with Venta Fax on a WinXP machine. There were no problems sending with hardware flow control but the above problems were reflected when software control was used.

Using -oh too didn't prove any improvement. I hope that you'll check & fix this real soon, since I believe I wont be able to find a real replacement that's  comparable to  eFax-gtk.

      Thanks for your responses.
