I have implemented a simple case study in the dev cluster which is able to run
an external process and capture all its I/O. At the moment, stderr and stdout
are sent to two Scintillas and the input for the process is taken from a
Remarks: it is implemented using eposix 1.5, the latest alpha from Berend, but
it does not run currently under Windooze. Berend expects a new release later
the week, this one should run under Win32, too. Thanks to Berend for giving
the community such a nice toolkit.
Easy to extend this example until we have a fully featured visual debugger:
instead of displaying stderr directly, the output from the SE debugger could
be interpreted by regular expressions and commands could be sent to its stdin
via menu items and hotkeys.
Anyone interested to move it to the tools cluster and start this work?
