A new overnet and edonkey2000 core v51.2 has been released.
It seems to work fine so far, and fixes the problems with v51.
The command line arguments that you need to pass to this version (and all
future versions) have changed. Now you need to pass:
-g to make the core listen for a GUI, and
-l (=loop) to make the core not accept input from the command line.
(It used to be '-' and '!').
This means unfortunately that ed2k-gtk-gui v0.6.0 will not be able to detect
running v51.2 cores, and won't be able to spawn v51.2 cores correctly.
These issues are being fixed in cvs - expect a v0.6.1 release of the GUI soon.
Meanwhile, you have two options:
(1) keep using v50.1 and ed2k-gtk-gui 0.6.0 until v0.6.1 comes out.
(2) start the v51.2 core manually with:
./overnet0.51.2 - ! -g -l
(The first two arguments will be ignored by the core, but they will make sure
that the GUI is able to detect the running core).
As always, please use the 'screen' utility to put the core into the
background, not '&'.
