It would be handy if I could add the standard starting equipment (listed on p.72 of 4ed Player's Guide) without affecting the normal 100 silver starting money. Maybe as one of the StartGen options?
You mean if a starting item is removed you don't want money to be refunded? (ie if you remove the traveler's garb your starting silver shouldn't be increased to 8?)
I noticed I missed the Adventuring Kit for the default items. I don't have a good solution for adding the artisan tools, so that will need to be a manual operation.

Maybe I'm missing how to activate the starting items, I'm not seeing any.
When I create a character, with no options chosen, the Equipment tab shows
Silver=100, Copper=0 and that's it. No starting items. Magic, Mundane,
Protection and Weapons sections only list "<Add Item="">". This is using both
the last and the current update (Release notes say v0.11). Also if I export
to PDF, only the items I specifically purchase are listed in the Equipment
section.
Is there something I'm supposed to do to add on the standard starting
equipment? Right now the only method I see is to increase the silver amount
to some large amount like 1,000 to cover, buy all the standard items and
then reduce silver back down to 100 before buying my non-standard items
(like armor, weapons, etc).

My pleasure! Thanks for being so responsive with your tickets. This tool
really helped me understand more of the character mechanics as a first time
Earthdawn player.

#18I see the problem. It requires the "Auto Assign Character Generation Resources" flag set to populate the default data.
I make it always on in the next release.
Thanks for pointing that out.
