#1 php error - Login bug? on initial setup

I'm using Mac OS X 10.3.4 with php version 4.3.2

I added eClasses1.3.1 to my webserver and the "home" page comes up.

But when I attempt to Login I get this error:

Fatal error : Cannot redeclare builddropdown() (previously declared in /
Library/WebServer/Documents/eClasses1.3.1/functions.php:6) in /
Library/WebServer/Documents/eClasses1.3.1/functions.php on line 6

I've got the MySQL database set up using the eClass.sql instructions.

Database name: registration with the all tables in place.

The tables are however empty. Couldn't figure out how to set up the first
user. The "admin".

Are there any instructions or FAQ anyplace?
