PCB Name: Measure I,U & INA260 board (eCScope board)
PCB version: 1.0.0
Document version: 1.0.0
Made by: eComet
Date: 2.10.2022
Introduction:
PCB is used to measure current or voltage simultaniously at two IC’s INA260. Both IC’s can be measured
simultaneously. Four parameters can be measured in one moment. The board is used as a measure collector or a stack
for data that are trasfered to Raspberry PI computer by I2C network. Throughput of I2C nework ensures the speed of
measurement. The value of simultaneous measurment (1-4) determines the amount of measured points in a time
frame.
Board is compatible with Raspberry Pi 4+.
Connection with Raspberry Pi:
Board can be connected with Raspberry PI three possible ways of I2C network.
• Quiic I2C 4pin cable (max 30 cm length)
• Seed Grove I2C 4pin cable (alternatively to Ouiic) (max 30 cm length)

• eComet I2C 5pin cable (proprietary AMP - TE CONNECTIVITY, 5-103673-4, 104257-4) (max 2m length)

Measure connection:
Measure ports are located at the bottom side of the PCB board.

Measurement can be processed by two modes:
• Classic mode:
measured cables are connected to KF2EDG 2P 3.5/3.81 Plug in terminal blocks and then pull into terminal sockets
KF2EDG connector
measure current: Use port J4 and j5
max current for measure is +-15A , circuit is protected with fuses FU1 and FU2.
Current Fuses
Measured voltage drop resistor is inside of INA260 chip
positive or negative values of measurement are intended for connection order from pin 1→2 or 2→1 at port J4 and J5
measure voltage: Use port J2 and J3
max voltage is +-24 V per port.
Each port has two pins [measure pin, ground pin]
• Test Hook Clip Jumper mode:
measure current: Use port SV1, pin 1-2 and 3-4 for connecting measure probes
recommended measure probes are Test Hooks
Port SV1

measure voltage: Use port SV1, pin 5-6 (ground) and pin 7-8 as voltage measure points. Optional choice port J7 as ground port for banana cable and alligator clip

Set I2C address:
• INA260 chip use address from range 0x40 ... 0x47

Other information:
• At PCB is also I2C memory chip that’s used for profile storing and calibration of measurement

INA chip also has a red ALARM LED diode alarm on the left side of PCB. LED will turn on when measurement ALARM is reached.
