Just a quick response now, but please feel free to ask any questions.

There is a section of the user guide about installing EcoLab on
Windows - see http://ecolab.sourceforge.net/doc/ecolab/node4.html


Basically, you will need to install Cygwin, and use the tools in that
to compile and run EcoLab. It is possible to use MinGW instead of
Cygwin, but not recommended.
