sorry if this is such a late reply.. permissions are a file based issue - nothing to do with ecoder - you need to make sure you have what's called read and write permissions to the files and folders you wish to view and edit.
search on google for info relating to the operating system you are using.

I just edited "code.php" to try installing ECODER in my webSite, and I allways get the same error:
"ecoder does not have write permission to the folder ../"
