With --disable-longdouble ECL should not use those functions at all. Could you send only to me the files ecl/config.h end config.log from the build directory?

Also, when you performed those tests, did you use _exactly_ the same compiler flags that ECL uses to build the files in the c/ directory? For instance when compiling c/num_co.o?
