Today the Eclipse and Java Video Tutorials project surpassed 500,000 file downloads. That's an average of over 2,200 daily downloads since the release of the first tutorial, Eclipse and Java for Total Beginners, in July 2007.
"I'm very gratified that so many people have found these tutorials to be helpful", said Mark Dexter, lead developer. "It shows the need for quality training materials on Eclipse and Java."
Four tutorials, totaling over 8 hours of free, fully-narrated video instruction, are currently available, with more planned for release over the next few months. The tutorials are used in universities, businesses, other organizations, and homes in countries around the world.
