Mark, thanks much. new to programming here. your format, speed, tone, look-and-feel, is all very helpful, particularly against the 'risk' of one's attention getting sidetracked, which may happen with for example a poorly written book. Makes me start to think about looking around sourceforge, the web etc for more video learning opportunities including your future efforts. For some reason I was unable to get the .zip files to download to my mac,.. (or couldn't find them or SOMEthing went wrong there) but I'm pretty sure its on my end, as everything else ran smoothly. Did total beginner, persistence, and debugger. At times (particularly in persistence) not up to trying to keep up with your typing, [ while I typed, I was not paying attention to what you were saying, so would need to pause rewind,.. ] while other times I found typing much more manage-able. The rule for myself anyway seemed to be, the more code content that I needed to type the more interested I became in simply accessing the material from a downloaded zip as opposed to pause/rewind/catch-up with my typing etc. Anyway kudos again to you.
