inspect not worling idles on evaluate

    I have been pulling out what little hair i have left.

    Mark your tutorials are better than i could ahve asked for, they really have howeve the Eclipse programe is becoming a ngihtmare as i have been following you step my step.. right now i'm on tut #3.

    i was able to inspect simple 2=2 however now we're on to the
    Person p = new Person ();
    p.setName("Fred");

    the inspect is either not there or it says evaluating at the bottom and nothing else happens.
    i'm totally and utterly stuck. i ahve googles. and searched this forum with no luck.

    Please help me before i put my fist through the computer.

    Eclipse ; Version: 3.6.0
    classic.
    win xp service pack 3.
    latest java is installed.

    help :(

    Hi. If you look through the forum posts, there have been a number of people who have had trouble getting the Eclipse Scrapbook to work. It seems to be somewhat sensitive to specifics of your environment. For example, in one case it didn't work because someone had their workspace on a network drive and putting it on a local drive fixed the problem.

    Fortunately, using the scrapbook is not essential to continuing with the tutorials. You can just watch those parts and then continue writing the code. Good luck. Mark

    this is my prolem though. its all on the same price. no networking. i'm at a loss other wise i woulnd't have posted yet another issue of this.. : /
