First off, is there any way this could be an option instead of a mandate? I can't find an option for this anywhere, and the standard Eclipse editors have no wrapping nor any options for such.

Second, the way the word wrap displays is awkward and confusing. In an environment like programming (as opposed to word processing), there should be some indication that a line has been wrapped. Usually via indenting and/or some graphical annotation. But more importantly, when a line is wrapped, the wrapped part of the line gets its own line number, even though it's still the same line and home/end take you to the beginning of the first line number and the end of the last line number.

The SQLExplorer TextEditor is based on the 'Standard' text editor of eclipse. I can't find any automatic word wrapping.
I entered at text whith about 1600 characters and no word wrapping occured.
Do you have an example of text which is word wrapped?
