While testing the SQL Explorer 3.0.0 build from August 5, in Eclipse 3.2 running on Mac OS X 10.4.7, I have encoutered the following problem:
The SQL Editor window does not display the toolbar buttons (the one that also includes the Execute Query buton) and it is not possible to execute queries. No errors are displayed in the Eclipse log file.
Is there a keyboard shortcut that would make it possible to execute the query without having to push that button?
Thanks.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
1. -clean did not seem to have any effect.
2. The error log of pde runtime did not show any error related to SQL Explorer.
3. Finally, CTRL-ENTER worked just great :-). I've tried many key combinations before but this one didn't cross my mind.
Thank you for your quick response. I can now use the SQL Explorer and have some additional free memory from not running the pgadmin.
Hope this helps.

CTRL-ENTER should do the trick..
I will have a look and see if the problem can be corrected in the next build..
PS. Have you tryed starting eclipse with the -clean option? Let me know if that would resolve the problem.
Last comment for today, I promise :-)
Did you check the plugin log? It's under Window > Show View > PDE Runtime > Error Log.
Ok, I have tried all of the above. Here it goes:
1. -clean did not seem to have any effect.
2. The error log of pde runtime did not show any error related to SQL Explorer.
3. Finally, CTRL-ENTER worked just great :-). I've tried many key combinations before but this one didn't cross my mind.

Hi Ciprian,
This problem should be resolved in todays build.
Let me know if it doesn't work..
Davy
Hi Davy,
Sorry for my late reply, I have not read the forum for a while.
I just updated to Aug 16 build and it works just fine, the toolbar is there.
Thanks,
Ciprian.
