Would anyone have any objection if I switched the code repository from CVS to SVN? The principal advantage that I can think of is that we can delete (or move) files with SVN and have those changes recorded in the repository - files are not actually deleted, but they are removed from the HEAD of the repository.
AFAICT, we can setup the SVN repository in addition to the CVS one so there will be a short time while we all make sure we're happy with it (i.e. check I didn't break anything in the move!), and there is a migration path from the CVS so we can keep revision history.
Cheers,
John

I am all for it.

Any plans to actually do this? I'd really like to have access to the source code. Neither rsync nor cvs works. This isn't much of an opensource project in its current state... It's impossible for anyone to contribute to the project like this. Have you considered switching to git and moving to github?
